Bill Cook

Director of Ghost University

Bill Cook is the charter Director of Ghost University.  Bill's paranormal experience comes from Calico Ghost Town, where he founded the Calico Ghost Walk back in 1995 (http://www.calicoghostwalk.com). Since then, Bill has been involved daily with investigating the unknown at Calico Ghost Town and abroad. Calico Ghost Town, being a "Golden Mecca" for paranormal investigation provided Bill with experience and knowledge that most paranormal investigators only dream about. Now retired from the Calico Ghost Walk, Bill has founded Haunted Barstow Ghost Tours (www.HauntedBarstow.com) which Ghost University is directly associated. Bill is working on several books about the paranormal which should be in print shortly. 

Bill Cook is a member of the San Bernardino County Sheriff 's Department Desert Rescue Squad and a Volunteer Ranger for the Bureau of Land Management. He was awarded the prestigious National Volunteer of the Year in 2000 from the Bureau of Land Management.


 

Dr. William R. Jimenez, PH.D.

Paranormal Psychologist

Dr. William R. Jimenez, PH.D. is a Doctor of Psychology and a member of the American Counceling Association with over 36 years experience in paranormal research. He is a Viet Nam veteran. He retired as a California Law Enforcement Officer after 34 years of service. During his law enforcement career he worked as a detective and served 20 years as an agent in the California Stae Police Elite Dignitary Protection Command, 6 of those as Agent in Charge. He protected four California governors and other national and international dignitaries. Dr. Jimenez also holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He has traveled to numerous countries and speaks five languages. He is the founder of The Paranormal Investigative Technology Team at Ghost University, who is mostly composed of active and retired law enforcement officers. Dr. Jimenez is an Ordained Minister and is currently pursuing his second Doctorate degree in Metaphysical Science. Dr. Jimenez now spends his full time investigating the paranormal.


 

Glen Mayernick

Scientific Evidence Collection Expert

Glen Mayernick is a retired veteran of law enforcement after 27 years of service. He is an expert in video/audio and forensic science. He has extensive experience in incorporating his forensic skills with paranormal investigation. Glen is also very active in archaeology and anthropology studies. His years of being a Kung Fu Master is an unusual, but complementary, title that has added an interesting and vital ingredient to the Ghost University investigation team.


 

Jill Cook

Investigator / Teacher

Jill Cook has been involved with researching the paranormal for 20 years. Her special talents in ghost investigation augment the investigation team in multiple ways that are invaluable. Exhibiting a genuine sense of humor enhances the Ghost University tours, classes and seminars. Attendees look forward to Jill's magical moments with her antidotes and mirth-provoking experiences.


 

Tamara Thorne

Novelist / Investigator

Tamara Thorne is a lifelong student of the paranormal, folklore, and shameless humor. She is the author of such supernatural thrillers as The Forgotten, Bad Things, Eternity, and Thunder Road. She has also written horror novels, based in research but often slightly tongue-in-cheek, including Haunted, Moonfall, and The Sorority Trilogy. Thorne and her husband, Damien, spend their spare time hoping not to sleep in haunted hotel rooms and prowling other anomalous sites, hoping to be accosted by poltergeists, falls of frogs, or phantom jackalopes. Currently, she is working on a new novel about a southwest haunting and putting together a nonfiction book about ghosts, including stories from her own adventures. Daniel Jenkins

Historical Research Specialist / Investigator

Daniel Jenkins has a Bachelors of Art in History and Politcal Science. He has been with Ghost University for five years and was a guide for the Calico Ghost Walk at Calico Ghost Town for three years. His attention to detail in researching the history of haunted sites that PITT investigates pays off time and time again for the team. He is currently a guide for the Haunted Barstow Ghost Tours. Daniel currently is specializing in researching the Native Americans of the Barstow region to expand the teams investigative locations.
